EODC began in April 2020, in the week when everything else was cancelled. If the hall was unavailable, the broadcast was not — and dentists across Europe kept turning up. Four editions later, having moved from stream to stage in Belgrade, we are the European Open Dental Congress: open in format, open in access, open to anyone who wants to learn.
Practising clinicians present real cases and real complications, from implantology and regeneration to digital workflows — alongside the part most congresses skip, which is how a practice is actually run as a business. We are not the largest congress in Europe, and that is deliberate: we would rather be the one you leave with something you can use.
Education should not depend on circumstance — not on a pandemic, not on a travel budget, not on where you happen to practise. We are returning to what we set out to build: live meetings in Belgrade, with the reach we learned in six years of broadcasting. The profession advances one practice at a time, and we intend to keep contributing to that.
